My Skincare Update (Type, etc) | Curly Cami Channel

7 views· 5:57· Mar 30, 2026

I would say my skin was fine prior to using skincare. When I started using product my skin reacted to the product and I had a lot to learn from the results and how to resolve the issue I caused. Some products were great and other products seemed unnecessary. I do like to try new things with caution and wish to find the product again once I finished the product. About This Video

In this skincare update, I’m basically sharing where I’m at on my dry-to-sensitive skin journey (especially living in Arizona). I went into skincare with minimal knowledge, and honestly… I learned the hard way. My skin was fine before, then I started trying products and ended up damaging my skin, so it’s been a lot of trial and error. I talk about random things I notice like waking up with one swollen under-eye, my dry spots (usually my jaw area and forehead), and even how I’ll document my little pimples and give them “P” names like Patricia, Patty, or Papaya. I also get into what’s worked for me and what hasn’t. I share tips like using droppers on my hand instead of directly on my face, and how I learned to apply the “zombie facial” (mix fast, thin layer, warm cloth removal). Some products were truly helpful during my “reptilian phase” of dryness—like Vaseline and AmLactin—while other stuff (like toners) has felt unnecessary for me so far, and I need to do more research. My biggest takeaway is that skincare is a learning curve, and for me the bare minimum + consistency is what keeps my skin and scalp happiest.
