I had a feeling and I took it because it was necessary and long over due. I needed to remove the split ends and fairy knots. It is like a fresh start for my hair, especially this year. About This Video

In this video, I finally listened to that feeling and cut my hair for a fresh start. I washed my hair intentionally in the sink so I could go in and trim off what needed to go—split ends and those fairy knots that make detangling way more difficult than it has to be. I always check my length from the side, and yes, it’s very short now, but the ends look good—and that’s what I want to maintain this year. I also shared a little skincare moment while I was at it (I even steamed my face a bit too much and started coughing—so don’t be like me). I’m in my “finish what you have” era, so I’m using up products that are nearly done instead of opening multiple things and neglecting the older ones. For my hair, I focused on hydration and scalp care—especially around my crown/hairline where I get dry patches (not dandruff, just tiny flakes). I used a root enhancer once a day, worked in a light leave-in through my mids to ends, then finished with a thicker leave-in and a hairspray that literally doesn’t spray anymore—so I poured it into my hands and applied it that way. I diffused while watching YouTube, went to bed with it about 80% dry, and woke up with fluffy, voluminous, “curly and bouffant” hair. As always—embrace joy.
