The last week of 2025 was uneventful and I’m okay with it. I stayed home in fear of the super flu. My Christmas was good and mellow. I had a slow start into the new year. How was yours? About This Video

This is my first little 2026 video—short, like my hair (but not really, because it was hiding in my jacket). I’m basically taking you through those days right before the new year and a day after, and December just felt…different. Not as joyful. I also realized both my middle fingers got burnt in 2025 (beginning of the year and the end of the year), and on top of that I got sick for the first time—still trying to get rid of the phlegm. For Christmas Eve candlelit service, I did a “failed hairstyle” that still worked for what I needed: I emphasized my curls in the front, embraced the frizz, and tried to tame the rest into a loose bun (not too tight). I used gel and hairspray so it would actually stay put—and it did. I also did skincare, but I had some irritation on my forehead from products, and I used a blow dryer attachment to target the area more precisely. I also had a little midday hydration session because Arizona weather will humble you. I left a mask on longer than 10 minutes but under 20, then layered serum, cream, and tallow. I even used the leftover serum and mask on the dry spots on my body because…it needed it. My big takeaway is consistency: I’m almost hydrated, but I need to be more like “three times a day” consistent instead of twice.
