I’ve had some shortcomings with not using Vaseline and scratching the areas that are healing and feeling better. It’s a struggle for me to not scratch, but it indicates that I need to apply lotion to the areas. There are areas that feel tight and sting during daily routine. I am looking forward to trying an oatmeal bath to help the skin more. I have the oats and need to blend it into a powder and maybe add some epsom salts to the bath as well. About This Video

Hey you—welcome back. In this video I’m continuing my mission of reversing my “reptilian skin” back to soft, smooth skin for winter in Arizona. This has been the most severe my dryness has been in a long time, and honestly I’m disappointed it got this bad. I also had some shortcomings: I stopped using Vaseline midday, and I scratched areas that were healing (and yes… I bled). For me, the itching is a sign I need to apply lotion, because some spots feel tight and even sting during my daily routine. I walk you through what I’ve been doing: I slather a product on my hands in the morning and let it sit, then I use another product on my face—especially around my chin, forehead, and hairline. It feels super smooth while I’m rubbing it in, but later I still get those dry patches that flake (even on my clothes). I also share updates on hyperpigmentation/scarring on my shoulder area, plus my “just in case” toner step after towel drying. I’m also looking forward to trying an oatmeal bath (I have oats to blend into a powder, and I might add epsom salts). On the hair side, it’s another wash day: I’m using three products, almost out of my intense cream, using the essence religiously, and using lotion sparingly—while debating adding an oil and maybe bringing Vaseline back (with a “less is more” mindset).
