Hey you—welcome back. In Part 7 of my 2025 recap/review, I’m continuing my little year rewind with the random, the emotional, and the everyday moments that made this year what it was. I talk about my mini obsession with the centipede chaos game at Peter Piper Pizza, a movie that had me feeling emotional (I didn’t read the book, but I already knew the guy died), and just those “life is lifing” days where you’re trying to be happy and it comes and goes like a wave. I also get into hair and skin updates the way I really live them in Arizona. I tried twist/box braid twists after getting inspired by Instagram, but it was trial and error—I wanted smaller box braids and bigger overall braids, and I needed more hair and more time to really conquer it. It only lasted a day because I had other obligations, and honestly I added too much shea butter, so the elastics started slipping and that was my sign to take it out. On the skincare side, I mention how my skin is needing TLC (especially after I damaged my face exfoliating), and I’m also overdue for a haircut even though the length is definitely there. I sprinkle in the skies (because I love my clouds), the moon, a gecko moment that turned into “circle of life,” movie outings (including IMAX), and even the microburst storm damage and flooding—then I wrap it up the way I always try to: embrace joy.
