Hey you—welcome back. In Part 5 of my 2025 recap/review, I’m basically walking you through the little moments that stood out to me, the good and the “expected though” ones. Hair-wise, I was embracing the frizziness and doing the bare minimum with product because my mentality was: less is more, and I wanted to save product for the next time. I can be a heavy-hander with my curls, so I was trying not to drench my hair like I used to. I also talk about how my wash schedule was more like a week (or longer) back then—detangling was a wreck and could take close to 40 minutes—versus lately I’ve been washing a bit sooner than seven days sometimes, which helps with less hair fallout. I also share some everyday life stuff: getting white hairs plucked, clearance finds and Ross trips (including hair clips I still have), and how I shop by grabbing what I want and then narrowing it down to fit the budget. There are movie moments too—Jurassic Park-themed vehicles, Superman (I liked it!), a nostalgic watch that blindsided me, and a couple films that were entertaining but not necessarily “that good.” I end with my little learning moment trying zombie beauty makeup—stir with the kit brush, don’t cake it on—and, as always: embrace joy.
