In this recap/review (Part 1), I’m looking back at the clips I saved and the little moments that made the year feel like the year—good, bad, and honestly just real. I talk about New Year’s Eve bingo at the casino (no, we did not win), some shows and movies I watched that were entertaining enough to finish, and a few random lifestyle snippets like Denny’s, the laundromat, and even a quick nail update (thankfully no pitting). I also sprinkle in my hair and skin journey updates, because that’s always part of my life—especially living in Arizona weather. I show a really good curly hair day where my face-framing curls were defined, my scalp looked clean, and my hair felt fluffy and light. At the same time, I’m still being honest about my ongoing frizz/fuzziness that I haven’t fully “conquered.” Skin-wise, I mention how the seasonal transition had me sweating, getting cold/hot while sleeping, and scratching—plus I used a mitten that ended up making my skin barrier worse. I also share that I’ve been using a retinol product and it’s been amazing for me, because I’m trying to level up my routine while still keeping hydration and barrier care in mind.
