My First 3D Printer! Elegoo Centauri Carbon Unboxing + First Print

5.3K views· 148 likes· 27:03· Nov 8, 2025

This week I’m unboxing my first ever 3D printer, the Elegoo Centauri Carbon. It’s marketed as an entry-level printer, but it’s loaded with features that usually belong on machines that cost a whole lot more. I go through the unboxing, the setup process, and print one of the pre-installed models — because nothing tests a printer faster than “straight out of the box and hit print.” No hype, no sugar-coating. Just a straight look at what it’s like to buy your first 3D printer and actually use it. If you’re thinking of getting into 3D printing or want a printer that doesn’t need a PhD and three curses to make it work, this one might shock you. 👉 Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more archery reviews, tutorials, and test rounds! 👉 If you enjoyed this video, don't forget to: 👍 Like the video to support the channel 💬 Leave a comment with your tips or experiences 🔔 Subscribe and turn on notifications to never miss an update Let’s grow together as better archers! 🏹 👉 Follow us on social media for updates: If you're an archer looking to take your shooting game to the next level, this review is for you! 🏹 Don’t forget to like, share, and follow for more archery gear reviews, tips, and shooting techniques! About This Video

In this video I’m doing something I honestly never thought I’d be filming on Brook Valley Life — an unboxing of my first ever 3D printer, the Elegoo Centauri Carbon. I’m a complete beginner with this stuff (I’d only seen one in real life at work), so this is a proper “newbie opens the box and figures it out” kind of run. I show what comes in the box, the way it’s packed, the glass top/door panels, the magnetic build plate (with the two-sided setup for different materials), and all the little bits like tools, grease, glue stick, and the touchscreen. I also run through the actual setup: fitting the screen, installing the filament holder, removing the three transport screws that lock the heated bed, and then letting it do the self-check (mine took about 30 minutes like it said). After Wi‑Fi and calibration, I load filament for the first time and do the ultimate test — straight out of the box, hit print — using one of the preloaded models. The little “benchy” boat came out way better than I expected, even with the text underneath looking crisp. The big takeaway: as someone who doesn’t know what I’m doing yet, this thing felt genuinely easy to get printing. Next step is learning the CAD/design side so I can start making archery bits — especially custom grips, because aftermarket grips for my RCore bows are freaking expensive.
