Tomahawks!! Monument Grills MESA 420MF! Reverse Seared!

Watch how great the MESA 420MF gas grill seared these 2 nice tomahawks! Great 4 burner grill with a small footprint and some serious grilling power! • Please use this link Mesa 420MF: https://amzn.to/3NN2ksw • 2 nice tomahawks from Costco, choice cut. • Seasoned the 2 tomahawks with kosher salt 24 hours in advance. • Set up the Monument Mesa 420MF for some indirect cooking. 2 outside burners on, 2 center burners off. • Placed the tomahawks in the center of the grill and maintained 250 degrees at the grate level. • Flipped them when they reached 80 degrees Fahrenheit. • Once they reached 115 we pulled them off and turned all of the burners on high. • We seared them each 1 minute per side 2 times each and pulled them off. • Let them rest for about 10 to 15 minutes before cutting into them. Summary: The Monument Mesa 420MF did a better job than I expected because of only having 900 BTU’s per burner. But with the tighter footprint it was plenty of heat! Steaks were amazing!
