Easy homemade meatballs! Inspired by Beer and BBQ by Larry and Postal BBQ! This is a must try! • Recipe: Started with 1 1/2 lb Ground Venison 1/2 lb bacon finely chopped 1 medium onion 2 eggs beaten 1/4 cup milk 1 cup breadcrumbs plain 1 cup Parmesan cheese 1 tbsp dried basil 1 tbsp dried oregano 1 tbsp parsley 1 tbsp black pepper 1/2 tbsp garlic powder • Set up the Slow ‘N Sear Kettle to run around 375. • Place the golf ball size meatballs on the indirect side. • When they reached about 140, I checked them and continued until they were close to 165. • Placed over direct heat for a little time to brown the bottom more. • Had some sauce heating before the cook, place enough meatballs in the sauce for 2 nice sandwiches. • Once the meatballs and sauce heated up, placed mozzarella cheese on the rolls, then meatballs and sauce and topped with more mozzarella. • Put back on the grill until cheese was melted. • Removed and enjoyed! Summary: These meatball subs were fantastic; I did do a few tries to perfect the recipe for my taste and it is worth the effort.
