We show how we cooked a boneless pork shoulder on the Rec Tec 590 Pellet Grill! • Started with a boneless pork shoulder. • Seasoned the shoulder with Ren’s “The Experience” rub. • Set up the Rec Tec to initially run on the smoke setting for the first hour. • After one hour, we took the grill up to 250 and then 275 until the internal was in the 150’s and the bark was set. • At this point we wrapped the shoulder and I again raised the temps to help speed up the cook. • When the pork shoulders reached 203 degrees, I checked for probe tenderness and it was ready to be pulled. • We let it rest for 1 hours before pulling the meat and did the taste test. Summary: The turned out great and super tender. We made pulled pork nachos which is something we love to do and Jack had a pork sandwich when he got home!
