Monument Grills New Mesa 305! Tomahawks!

Nothing better than nice big tomahawks to break in the new grill! • Please use this link Mesa 305: https://monumentgrills.com/products/m305-larger-3-burner-liquid-propane-gas-grill • Simply apply the discount code MONUMENTMESA during checkout for an 8% discount. • The Monument Mesa 305 did an amazing job and assembly was not too bad. • Each burner is 12,000 BTUs as well as the side burner. • 570 square inches of the total cooking area offers plenty of grilling space. • The larger Clearveiw® window for easy viewing. • Upgraded Die-Cast Aluminum Lid. • Built-In Thermometer now goes up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit. • Newly Designed Control Knobs have dual colors to show red when the burner is on and white when it is not. • Hooks for grill tools on both side shelves. • Bottle Opener! • Easy to clean Firebox System. • Cast-iron cooking grates designed for even cooking. • Pull-Out Grease Tray for easy cleaning. • Electronic ignition system for easy burner starts Tomahawks: • Started with 2 nice Prime Tomahawks from Willhaur Farms. • Seasoned the 2 tomahawks with kosher salt 24 hours in advance. • Set up the Monument Mesa 305 with the 2 outside burners on medium and the 1 inside burner off. Ended up keeping the 2 outside burners at med-high. • Placed the tomahawks in the center of the grill and maintained 250 degrees at the grate level. • Flipped them when they reached 80 degrees Fahrenheit. • Once they reached 110 we pulled them off and turned all of the burners on high. • We seared them each 1 minute per side 2 times each and pulled them off. • Let them rest for about 10 to 15 minutes before cutting into them. Shrimp: • Started with one pound Costco garlic shrimp. • Used our Forever pan and started with the side burner on high which was too hot, settled in around medium heat. Cooked the shrimp until they were 145+ and they tasted great! Summary: The Monument Mesa 305 is a great value for the outstanding grill that you get. Took us around 1 hour to put together but could probably do that in 1 hour or less now. The surf and turf turned out great and I am looking forward to many more cooks on the Mesa 305!
