Kamado Joe Chicken Legs! Pit Patriot Orange Habanero Hot Sauce!

Big Joe indirect chicken legs covered in Pit Patriot’s Orange Habanero Hot Sauce for a nice spicy meal! • Started with 3 nice chicken leg quarters from Bell and Evans. • Did not add any seasoning. • Set up the Kamado Joe Big Joe for direct and indirect cooking. 1 deflector plate on the lower level and the 2 racks on the top level. • Put the legs on the grill on the indirect side skin up until they reached about 120 degrees. • Flipped them to skin side down after a little time we started to bast with the Pit Patriots Orange Habanero Hot Sauce. • Flipped them back to skin side up, basted them 3 times, checked temps and once they hit 175 to 180. • Removed them from the grill and covered until we were set up for the ending. Summary: The leg quarters turned out great and had some crispy skin. Pit Patriots Orange Habanero Hot Sauce had a real nice kick and the flavor was excellent. It was not too sweet, which is what I like. I would make these exactly the same way again. Start with quality chicken and use a good spice!
