Golden Crust Challenge accepted! In today’s Christmas cook, we’re taking the Monument M415BZ to its limits by searing massive Tomahawk steaks over high heat to get that perfect golden crust. Took about 1 hour 20 minutes for this step. It was 40F outside and the wind chill was around 22F. • We really watched to flames because the Broil Zone was amazing to sear! Did them a few times on each side for a good sear while watching the internal temps. • Let them rest for about 10 to 15 minutes before cutting into them. Summary: The Monument Mesa 415BZ is a great grill and will be staying on my back patio. I am replacing the Mesa 400 from a few years ago since this has the footprint I want and the power to sear along with the side burner. Great Grill! Great Price!
