The ThunderX3 Solo 360 might be on the budget side compared to many other gaming chairs, but still has pretty much everything you could ask for. In fact, it does some things better than other premium gaming chairs I reviewed! About This Video

This video starts the usual way: on the floor, with a big box and me questioning why chair assembly is still a thing in 2026. I’m checking out the ThunderX3 Solo 360 (I’ve got the Loft Air variant in light grey), and the main point is simple: it’s “budget” compared to a lot of gaming chairs, but it still brings basically everything you’d expect—and then a couple of weird little tricks on top. Once it’s built, I go over what makes it stand out: a pocket on the back of the seat (yes, an actual pocket), the overall comfort, and the headrest that hits that perfect middle ground between too firm and too soft. The big caveat is lumbar: it doesn’t have adjustable lumbar support, which is great for the price and terrible for my back, so I can’t pretend it’s a long-term chair for me personally. I also show off my favorite “party trick”: the armrests can rotate all the way around so they don’t stick out, which lets me pull the chair right up to my desk—amazing for working. The armrests actually adjust properly (unlike certain premium chairs I’ve reviewed), the casters look cool and seem less like hair magnets, and the single-handle control system works, but it’s a bit finicky and the recline takes some body weight to get moving. At around 220€ / £190, it’s a surprisingly strong value with a few annoyances you should know about.
