Intel Nova Lake-AX, or maybe it's Intel Razor Lake-AX, is expected to be the big competitor to AMD's Strix Halo and Nvidia's N1 CPUs on the laptop side of things. So what can we expect? About This Video

In this video I’m digging into a fresh leak that makes Intel’s next-gen plans look way more ambitious than I expected: something being called Nova Lake-AX… or maybe Razor Lake-AX. The naming is already messy, and it’s not even clear if those are the same product, but the gist is simple—Intel is apparently aiming at a “monster” laptop-class chip designed to go head-to-head with AMD Strix Halo and Nvidia’s newly announced N1 laptop CPUs. The wildest part is the platform. The leak points to a brand-new socket labeled LGA 4326 (and I’ve also seen BGA 4326, which would make more sense for laptops). Either way, 4,326 pins is ridiculous compared to the ~1,954-pin desktop socket we’re expecting for regular Nova Lake. The whole point of that pin count seems to be feeding a high-core-count CPU plus seriously powerful integrated graphics—enough that a laptop or mini PC could potentially play AAA games comfortably without discrete graphics. One rumored configuration mentions up to 28 CPU cores and 48 graphics “XC” cores, but for now it’s still very much “leak territory,” including the launch timing (likely after Nova arrives later this year).
