Sapporo is such a fun city! It has a very nice atmosphere that is different to the usual big 3 in Japan. Despite being autumn, it was still hella cold 🥶

About This Video

In this vlog I’m basically doing the travel hop from Hong Kong to Japan, with a quick Tokyo overnight in between, before meeting friends up in Sapporo. My last half-day in Hong Kong is all about dim sum (yamcha), and I end up comparing two totally different vibes: the chaotic, shout-for-your-food style in Kennedy Town versus a way quieter, more tourist-friendly spot where they sit you down and you just tick things off a list. Food-wise, my standout was the glutinous rice — that was bomb — and overall it was a fun contrast between “true Cantonese chaos” and a more relaxed experience. After that it’s the classic Japan transit energy: trains, convenience store snacks, and me remembering how good instant noodles taste in Japan. I also do a bit of shopping and nerdy gear talk (I’m asking about ND filters and learning the whole “same system” adapter situation). Then we finally land in Sapporo and straight away I’m like… yep, this city feels different to the usual big 3 in Japan — super fun atmosphere, and even in autumn it’s hella cold. First night vibes are basically deciding if tonight is the night I actually go out for a drink.
