About This Video

Not too long ago I was in Japan for about 2 and a half weeks, and this video is basically a collection of my favourite home (and lifestyle) pick ups from that trip. It was my first time solo travelling, and it’s also my third time in Japan—so I’ve noticed the stuff I want to bring back has changed a lot. I’m way less into the usual touristy Donki haul vibe now (skincare, Kit Kats, etc.) and more into things that feel a bit more niche and intentional. I go through a bunch of items that I’m genuinely using back in Melbourne: Snow Peak foldable cushions I’ve wanted for years (premium, expensive, but way better priced in Japan), Japanese lifestyle/architecture magazines for home inspiration, and a diamond-shaped pendant shade that makes light diffuse so nicely. I also share smaller finds like a cat monthly calendar and a clock (I have a bit of an obsession with dates and time), plus coffee from Bongen—dark roast, chocolatey, bitter notes, which is exactly my taste. On the fashion side, I picked up Japanese denim that actually fits my build (shorter, chunky athletic legs), a cropped boxy hoodie, some bolder sunglasses, silver rings, and a Mont Bell carabiner because apparently I just love everything silver now. Japan just has so many good things to buy—and yep, I’m back in Melbourne, so more Melbourne vlogs coming.
