In this Hong Kong vlog, I’m basically doing what I do best on holiday: eating my way through the city and reacting in real time. We start the day like normal (gym first), then I head to a fine dining spot for my birthday. After that, we’re fully in tourist mode—yep, we’re one of them—checking out places like Victoria Peak and just taking it all in between bites. Day three kicks off at 9:00 a.m. with my first proper dim sum experience in Hong Kong at Sanhing Restaurant (they open super early and go late). It was honestly chaotic—like, we got sat down and then had no idea how to order or even get food. A table-sharing grandpa saved us and basically taught us the system: don’t bother filling out the paper, just go up and grab what you want. We tried a bunch of dishes (siu mai, cheung fun, and this tofu skin wrapped around intestines situation that was surprisingly really flavorful), and I walk you through what hit and what was just “good.” Later on, I’m still very keen for roast goose, and we even talk about the very Hong Kong reality of paying like 10 bucks for coffee.
