About This Video

I spent 48 hours in Hakone with the boys and honestly the whole trip was just good vibes—lots of eating, lots of banter, and a super chill slice-of-life kind of energy. We kicked things off at Owakudani (Hell Valley) to try the famous black egg. Everyone hyped it up, but it basically tasted like a normal egg… even though it smelled kinda wild at first. We also tried a few snacks around the area (including an “egg themed” ice cream situation), and it was one of those days where you’re not rushing—just vibing and taking it as it comes. After that we hit the Hakone Open Air Museum, which was genuinely so cool. It’s basically sculptures and outdoor gallery stuff, and it felt like the perfect change of pace between food stops. Then we did a day trip out to Mt Fuji and went biking around the lake for a couple hours. The views were insane—autumn leaves, clear skies, and Fuji actually showing up. I’ve been twice now (spring and autumn), and those are easily my two favorite seasons: not too hot, not too cold, and the scenery is immaculate.
