About This Video

In this study vlog, I’m taking you with me through Monday to Wednesday in Japan as I try to actually smash my to-do list (without burning out). It’s a very “real life” reset: planning, studying, reading, and keeping my language learning moving forward in a way that feels sustainable. If you’re into calm productivity and want to see what advanced Japanese + intermediate Mandarin study looks like in a normal week, this one is for you. I share the kinds of tasks I rotate through when I’m balancing immersion with structure: Japanese reading practice (including JLPT N1 読解), Mandarin input, and the systems that help me stay motivated when my energy isn’t 100%. I also talk about what I’m reading right now—Japanese novels and nonfiction alongside an English fiction pick—and I include some of the academic/psychology learning I’m doing on the side. The big takeaway is that consistency comes from designing a routine you can return to: a clear plan, good resources, and enough variety to keep your brain engaged.
