This is my second study recap of 2025, and I’m finally sitting down to share everything I studied in March and April—languages, MOOCs, and the books I’ve been reading. I walk you through my Japanese and Mandarin routines in a really “holistic language learning” way: what I actually did day-to-day, what resources I leaned on, and how I’m balancing consistency with real life (because yes, this recap took a minute to film). On the Japanese side, I focus on advanced reading practice and structured prep using an N1 reading text, and I talk about how I approach comprehension when the material is dense. For Mandarin, I recap my lower-intermediate study using an HSK 3 textbook, app-based practice, and the option of tutoring (especially when I want accountability and speaking feedback). I also share two courses I studied alongside languages—an intro psychology course on Coursera and an intercultural contact course on FutureLearn—because I genuinely think studying “content” helps my language learning stay meaningful. I end with a reading recap and the bigger takeaway: progress comes from returning to the system, not chasing perfect weeks.
