About This Video

In this video, I’m doing my own Lemonade Fulani braids on my 4C hair (low porosity, high density) and I’m not gonna lie—this style is cute, but it’s time-consuming. I start by parting my whole head first to make everything easier. The back isn’t perfect because I literally can’t see, but it will do, and once everything is separated, the braiding process goes way faster. This isn’t a full ā€œhow to braid from scratchā€ tutorial, but I show you exactly what I do: I braid my natural hair a couple times, then I add braiding hair, and I add curly boho pieces as I go. I also show how I secure each braid by wrapping a small piece of hair around and tying it to create a little knot. For the front, I watched a few videos to decide my pattern, and I’m telling you right now—cornrows on yourself are an arm workout. Once the hard part is done, I boil the hair before curling to help loosen it up and reduce tangling, then I set it with curlers. I let everything dry overnight for tighter curls, finish with a little mousse, tie it down, and the final results are giving easy, trendy, protective style for 2025.
