How I packed 45 cat mugs to send off to one location. Packing ceramics can be tricky, especially if it's a lot at a single time. I especially don't want anything to break or get destroyed in transit. I chose to fit everything in two large boxes. I figured if the boxes were a little bigger and heavier, they'd less likely be tossed around. Good luck kittens! About This Video

In this video I’m packing up a big batch order—45 ceramic cat mugs—all going to one destination. If you’ve ever shipped pottery, you know the goal is simple: nothing breaks, nothing gets crushed, and everything arrives looking like it just came out of my cozy New Mexico studio. I walk you through how I approach packing when the quantity is high and the stakes feel extra real. My main strategy here is choosing to split everything into two large boxes instead of a bunch of smaller ones. I figured bigger and heavier boxes are less likely to get tossed around in transit, and it also keeps the order organized since it’s all headed to the same place. I’m using sturdy small boxes for individual mugs (those 4x4x4s), plus general packing supplies, and I print my labels through Pirate Ship to keep the shipping side of things smooth. If you’re packing ceramics—especially a large order—this is the kind of methodical, “over-protect it” routine that helps me ship with way less anxiety. Good luck kittens!
