In this video, I’m taking you behind the scenes of how I lesson plan for elementary art—aka how I keep myself from totally spiraling when I have a million classes to prep for in one week. I walk through the weekly system that works for me and show you the exact way I organize lessons so I’m not reinventing the wheel every single day. And yes, I’ll say it: not every art teacher plans the same way. Some people can wing it, but I’m just not built like that. I also share the planning template I use and explain how you can grab it and make it your own (it’s a Google Doc—super easy to copy and tweak). The goal is to make planning feel more doable, especially when you’re juggling multiple grade levels and trying to keep projects, supplies, and pacing straight.
