Merry Christmas from my cozy New Mexico studio—this video is my final kiln reveal of 2024, and it’s a big, grateful exhale after a very fast two-week sprint. I nearly sold out at my first holiday market on Nov 30, so I had to jump right back into making and firing with a super tight timeline to get ready for my Dec 14 market. This kiln load was all about getting fresh work finished, glazed, and fired in time—because apparently cat mugs are a serious situation around here. I’m revealing a load that includes my small espresso kittens (aka tiny cat mug cuteness), and it honestly makes me so happy to see them come out of the kiln after such a quick turnaround. The biggest takeaway from this one is that making work on a deadline is totally doable, but you have to stay focused and keep the momentum going from start to finish. And the best part: all but one of these mugs sold, and I gave the last one as a gift—hot cat commodities, truly. I’m so thankful for all the love and support this year.
