About This Video

Another day, another kiln reveal—this one is all about cats. In this video I’m opening up Kiln Reveal #3 and sharing the finished “Orange Kitten Army,” plus a few other cat pottery pieces that came out of this firing. I walk you through what I’m seeing as I unload: the colors, the glaze results, and all the little details that make these mugs and pieces feel extra cozy and personality-filled. I also talk about what comes next after the kiln: getting everything ready to pack up and ship to its new master. If you’re curious about what I’m making in my New Mexico backyard studio (and what’s currently available), I point you to my Etsy shop so you can see what’s in stock. For the pottery nerds, I include the materials I’m using—white stoneware Cone 6 Cashmere clay from New Mexico Clay, Mayco glazes and underglazes (including Mayco Jungle Gems “Confetti”), and my Paragon kiln from 2000—so you can get a sense of how I’m getting these finishes.
