In this video I’m basically announcing something I’ve never done before: I’m going to start providing paid desktop support focused on NixOS. If you’ve been around here, you already know I’ve been absolutely obsessed with NixOS lately—after years of using Linux (Arch was usually my “home base”), NixOS has straight up become my home. I love the Nix language, I love the ecosystem, and I’ve been having a genuinely good time working on my flake while helping people get onboarded. The plan is to run this through Patreon with Discord-based 1-on-1 priority support. Each tier gives you a set amount of weekly time you can schedule with me (up to 4 hours max scheduled per week), and unused time rolls over with an 8-hour cap. I’m still going to help people for free in Discord—this is just for priority and dedicated time. Long-term, the goal is to scale this into something close to full-time so I can spend my hours helping the NixOS community instead of burning them at a customer service job. I’m not claiming I’m a five-year NixOS wizard, but I am eager to learn, and I’ll do what it takes to get your setup working.
