About This Video

In this video I’m breaking down the Nouhaus Ergo3D office chair and why I think it’s one of the best ergonomic chairs you can grab for under $300 (it usually lands around $250). Straight up: it’s not winning any beauty contests—this chair is all function over fashion—but once you actually sit in it, it becomes pretty obvious why it punches way above its price. I spend an absolute minimum of six hours a day at my desk editing, making thumbnails, and gaming, so I’m always looking for something that can handle long sessions without wrecking my back. The big win for me is the lumbar support system because it self-adjusts as I shift around throughout the day, and it’s been incredible for my lower back. The headrest is fully adjustable (height plus a bit of articulation), and it gave me genuinely solid neck support—but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone taller than about 6'2" since I’m 6'2" and it just barely fits me. My main complaint is seat depth: my legs hang off more than I’d like, and it can get uncomfortable after a while. You also get great armrests (in/out, up/down, pivot, minimal wiggle), strong breathability with some padding where it counts, and a recline design I prefer because only the backrest reclines—so the armrests don’t smack into my desk. Add in a sturdy feel, a metal base rated up to 275 lbs, and bonus rollerblade-style wheels in the box, and it’s a crazy solid value.
