In this video I’m checking out the PowerA FUSION Pro Wired Controller, and yeah—this thing is a direct swing at Microsoft’s Elite controller. The two big differences are right in your face: it’s wired, and it’s about half the price. But outside of that, it’s trying to give you the same kind of “pro controller” experience with swappable parts, extra control options, and a more premium feel than the standard Xbox controller. I go over the customization that actually matters in real games: you can pop the faceplate off and swap the sticks (including raised options), and I swear by raised sticks because they give you more movement and better accuracy—same reason I’ve used Control Freeks for years. You also get trigger stoppers with three actuation points, which is absolutely clutch for stuff like Modern Warfare when you’re running semi-auto. The biggest win for me is the four programmable paddles on the back—I love, love, love these because I can keep my thumbs on the sticks the whole time. It’s not perfect though. My mic jack gave me issues where people could barely hear me unless I was basically eating the mic, and the face buttons feel less tactile than a regular Xbox controller. Still, overall it’s a super dope controller and, in my opinion, a big upgrade over the standard Xbox controller for the money.
