I finally came back from a bit of a break, and the first thing I wanted to do was a proper desk setup tour—this is my Desk Setup V2, built around a minimalist, modern vibe without looking like a cable-spaghetti disaster. I start with the foundation: the VIVO electric sit-stand desk. It’s around $330 and I use it way more than I expected because going from sitting to standing takes seconds. It also goes high enough to actually be usable (my last desk didn’t), and the built-in cable management rack is a huge W for keeping things clean. From there I get into the “make it look expensive” part: cable management. Velcro strips, cable clips, and zip ties are the clutch combo—cheap, easy, and they keep everything off the ground. On top of the desk, my main display is the Viotek 34-inch ultrawide (2K, 100Hz, great colors), paired with a super affordable Planar 22-inch touchscreen monitor that I mainly bought because it sits flush and looks clean in the layout (I barely use the touch). Audio is handled by my old-but-gold JBL Loft 40s powered by the tiny SA-50 amp, and I round it out with the Cooler Master SK630 for that clean, no-branding look and my trusty Logitech G900 that just fits my hand perfectly.
