In this video I share my long-term, first-season review of the Klim Badlands Aero Pro Short gloves, using my five-star rating system: design, fit, comfort, safety, and value. Believe it or not, I barely bought any gear this season (other than my AGV K6 helmet and that blue iridium visor), but I got lucky and won these gloves through a Rider’s Choice contest—so huge thanks to them for shipping them out fast and for running legit giveaways. I break down what makes these gloves stand out for hot-weather riding: perforated premium goatskin leather, airflow scoops in the fingers, vented TPU finger pads, and smart details like the outer seam stitching (big comfort win) and the index finger visor wiper for rain. Fit is true to size with great dexterity, and comfort is honestly the holy grail here—it feels like I’m not wearing anything at all, even in summer heat. Safety is where these gloves really earn their keep: palm reinforcement, carbon fiber/polycarbonate knuckle protection, XRD impact foam (similar idea to D3O), reflective material, and—most importantly—CE Level 1 rating (most gloves aren’t rated). My final score: design 4/5 (Velcro and touchscreen wear), fit 5/5, comfort 5/5, safety 5/5, value 5/5. Be good, be safe, and let’s keep the rubber side down.
