Hello YouTube land — in this Pit Stop Tips video I’m getting ready for a motorcycle camping trip and I’m answering one of the questions I get all the time: how do I pack my motorcycle for camping or touring. I go quick and direct and show you, step-by-step, how I load my bike using my favourite OSAH dry bag setup (40L + 25L), how I strap it down, and how I keep everything tight and safe for the ride. I walk through my strap points, how the 25L bag snaps right onto the 40L, and why I love that system (bonus: it doubles as a backrest with my sleeping bag in there). I also show how I secure my reflective vest so it’s easy to grab when I need it. For hydration on longer rides, I use a Camel/hydro backpack so I can drink often without stopping, and I even toss in a gel ice pack to keep the water cold. Finally, I explain why I never leave home without ROK Straps. The elastic keeps your load under tension so it doesn’t loosen up like basic straps, and it’s a lot safer than old-school bungees. I also share a simple budget hack: inexpensive duffel bags that fit inside my side cases to keep clothes and camping layers organized, while my top box stays dedicated to electronics and cameras.
