Heyo, I’m Will—your local raptor artist—and today I’m doing what I do best: giving my villain OCs the glow-up they’ve been begging for. This video is me redesigning Aster and Dr. Darcy, the villains of my story world “Disaster Universe,” because a lot of my older art was outdated and I want concrete, consistent designs and reference sheets for bigger projects later (comic/animation brainrot, basically). I break down who these two are, what makes them terrifying (or just… unhinged), and how I translate that into shapes, silhouettes, outfits, and facial expressions. Aster is my rich, manipulative, behind-the-scenes demon uprising guy—narcissistic, pointy, and absolutely suit-coded. I build him a whole suit wardrobe (yes, I’m Suit Connoisseur Will), then design his splash-proof “murder outfit” with a leather coat, harness, spikes, and utility details. I also lock in his face consistency with angles and expressions, from calm-and-deadly to full rage, plus the cursed glowing tentacle tongue situation. Then I move on to Dr. Darcy: non-binary gremlin scientist, ethically bankrupt, and somehow still looks 19 despite being ancient. I redesign their lab outfit and an “asylum drip” straitjacket-inspired look, and I finalize their cyborg torso concept—yes, it’s basically a gamer PC—so their design feels unique without turning them into a combat character.
