There's a character design trend with some games like Marvel Rivals or Dispatch of women always having to look pretty and conventionally attractive. But does that mean you shouldn't design your femme OCs like this? Or can we still enjoy our big chested queens? ▸Redesigning my OCs (Deus and Dusa): https://youtu.be/n49VI5I5Ens ▸My OC Content Playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA2dA5DEGrmlmokZtQCwJSmcLjkaZU_mn 🎨【Commission Info 】🎨 ✦ Info: https://vildrart-commissions.carrd.co/ ✦ Commission me here: https://artistree.io/vildrart ✦ Notifications: https://discord.gg/bkJkn29K55 You can use the Discord as a community to talk about and share art or just to get notified when I open commissions! About This Video

I made this video because a comment on my Instagram genuinely made me feel a bit insecure about how I design women—specifically the whole “big eyes + hourglass + big chest” thing. So I break down why people react strongly to that look (especially in a world where women get sexualized constantly), and I’m very clear about my disclaimer: I’m not a woman, so I’m speaking from my perspective and what I’ve observed, not lived experience. Then I go through my own femme OCs and why they look the way they do: Da’s early revealing outfit came from her origins as a genderbent twin of Deza (who loves showing off), Dusa is literally based on my actual girlfriend’s body type, and Facilia is intentionally exaggerated because her whole concept is “magazine-cover beauty” taken to an unhealthy extreme—plus she has minor shapeshifting, so yeah, it’s kind of the point. My main takeaway is that the real issue isn’t “drawing pretty women,” it’s the patriarchal framework that turns those designs into a statement about real women’s value. I also talk about why policing artists is a slippery slope, why kindness matters when giving critique, and why big media (like certain game rosters) deserves way more scrutiny than someone’s personal OCs.
