In this video, I break down what Artfight actually is (spoiler: no real fighting, unfortunately), how the point system works, what an “attack” and a “revenge” are, and why I honestly think it’s better to treat the whole thing like an art gifting game. Points exist, sure, but the real goal is celebrating characters with other artists. Then I get super practical: how to prepare before July so you’re not getting bodied by the website crashing right when you need references. I show how I organize character refs, short/long profile info, drawing idea lists, and clear permissions (do’s/don’ts) so people can draw my OCs without guesswork. I also talk about whether you actually need ref sheets (you don’t), how to save targets you want to attack so you’re not screwed when Artfight won’t load, and how to set up your profile/character pages without overloading people with lore.
