Happy Teeptember — September is where loads of brands drop new gear, and Xiaomi’s 2025 launch event had a bunch of fresh stuff. In this unboxing-style first look, I got hands-on with two wearables: the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Glimmer Edition and the Xiaomi Watch S4 41mm. I’m not doing full-on testing here, but I run through what’s new, what stays the same, and what matters day-to-day if you’re buying on a budget. The Smart Band 10 Glimmer Edition is basically the Smart Band 10 spec-wise (which I already rate as a fantastic band), but with a more premium, glamorous look. You’re still getting that insane up-to-21-day battery, a 1.72-inch 60Hz AMOLED, and up to 1,500 nits peak brightness, plus 150+ sport modes, heart rate monitoring, and sleep tracking. The big win is you can swap straps — go silicone for workouts, then switch to the Glimmer band when you want it to look a bit more “going out” friendly. Then there’s the Xiaomi Watch S4 41mm: smaller and way thinner than the 47mm version (41mm wide and 9.5mm thick), and much lighter at 32g. The trade-off is battery: 320mAh vs 486mAh, so it’s rated 8 days on light use (and more like 6 moderate / 3 heavy). You still keep the 60Hz AMOLED, 1,500 nits, 150+ sports tracking, heart rate, temperature, and sleep tracking — and it’s actually sharper at 352 PPI. I’m especially interested in testing whether the thinner, lighter design makes it more comfortable for all-day wear and sleeping.
