Recently on the channel I’ve been reviewing the newest stuff from Xiaomi, but this one has to be the cheapest: the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active. It’s coming in at around £19.99 (under $20), and for that price you genuinely get a lot. In the video I break it down into four categories that, for me, make it a bit of a must-buy if you want an affordable smart band that doesn’t feel “cheap” when you actually use it. First up is the display: a 1.47-inch rectangular screen that feels fluid and snappy thanks to the 60Hz refresh rate. It’s also bright, colourful and sharp, and the reinforced glass top is a nice surprise at this price because it should help with day-to-day wear and scratches. Battery is the next big one for me because I like tracking sleep, so I need more than a couple of days—Xiaomi rates it up to 18 days, and I’m on day 21 with 35% left (light use, but still insane). Then there’s the feature set: 100+ watch faces, 50+ activity modes, plus sleep, SpO2 and heart-rate tracking. Finally, I talk about comfort and customisation—swapping bands is super easy, and cheap third-party options make it even better.
