About This Video

In this video I’m answering the big 2025 question: do you buy the newest flagship, or grab last year’s model and save a ton of money? I’ve been using the Xiaomi 14T Pro (launched September 2024) and checking how it holds up 10 months later. I go through the design and that 6.67-inch flat AMOLED display (144Hz, up to 4,000 nits, thin balanced bezels, IP68), and honestly, the screen is absolutely stunning — you’re not really missing out versus a lot of 2025 flagships. Performance is still proper flagship-level too. The Dimensity 9300+ handles basically anything I throw at it, and I’ve been playing Call of Duty with no lag — the 144Hz makes it a delight. HyperOS is quick, clean and super customisable (which I love), but I do call out the bloatware and the annoying App Mall notifications/recommendations. Cameras are great in good light (I took it to Legoland and loved the shots), but low-light is the Achilles heel — it can need more tweaking. Where this phone really flexes is battery and charging. I’m ending days on 30–40%, and with 120W charging it’s around 25 minutes to full (plus 50W wireless). The whole point though is value: prices have dropped hard, and you can save roughly $300–$400 by buying it now instead of at launch.
