Makin’ the Best of What We’ve Got || Putting Up Tomatoes, Corn, Peaches & Beans || July 2025

We’re putting up a little bit of everything in this one—tomato sauce from our tomatoes, sweet corn fresh off the stalk, October beans, and some pickled peaches for a touch of summer sweetness. Everything comes straight from our garden and orchard. This is what feeding yourself looks like when you grow most of what you eat. Meagan’s Tomato Sauce “guidelines” (remember make it your own!) Around 30 tomatoes 4-6 cups chopped onions 12 cloves garlic 2 Tbsp dried oregano Basil leaves A little thyme 1 tablespoon black pepper 1.5 tbsp sugar 1/4 c salt Add some peppers if you’d like!
