Today Andy and Meagan are working through cutting up a middlin’ and rendering lard the old-fashioned way. Meagan shares tips along the way for getting clean, white lard and the best end product possible. Like most days on our homestead, we pause in between to feed the animals and tend to chores before finishing up and getting the lard put up. We’re thankful to be able to keep these traditions alive. #TrueGritAppalachianWays #HomesteadLife #OldTimeWays #AppalachianLiving #FarmTraditions
