Today we sowed grass and clover where the big brush pile used to sit — turning a bare, ashy spot back into living pasture. Andy and the kids worked the soil, we fed our pigs and talked about how we raise them and what we’d like to improve in their paddock one day, then we headed down to check our calves who are growing fast. Just steady work, taking care of land and livestock, and being grateful for it.
