Today’s video is a special one for us. Andy and I took a little road trip to visit some dear friends over at @SheratonParkFarms . It’s such a blessing how this journey has brought like-minded folks into our lives. There’s just something about sitting with friends who live the same life, talking farming, animals, and dreams for the future. We’re so thankful for friendships like this and for the way the Lord weaves people together through this simple life. From a little road trip… to feeding animals in the dark… this is just a glimpse of life. Thank you for being part of our True Grit family 🤍 – Meagan & Andy Be sure to check out our friends over at @SheratonParkFarms If you are interested in trying our sauage seasoning you can find it here https://truegritappalachianways.com/product/true-grit-country-sausage-seasoning-1-lb/ #homesteadlife #farmvlog #appalachianhomestead #countryliving #simpleliving #farmlife #homesteading #rurallife #truegritappalachianways #farmfriends

About This Video

Today’s video was a little different than our normal day-to-day chores, because Andy and I took a small road trip to visit our friends Chuck and Sandre over at Sheridan Park Farms. We’ve been “in negotiations” for a while to pick up a couple of their older chicken tractors since they’ve upgraded to a more efficient system. Ours got crushed by snow, and we needed something that would work better than crawling around on the ground—these are the walk-in style tractors, and I’m tickled to have them. We spent most of the day talking farming, animals, and plans for the future—iron sharpens iron, and it’s always inspiring to sit with folks living the same life and facing the same struggles. We also talked through why these tractors are easier: you can see what you’re doing when you move them, you can walk in to catch birds, and they’re more “kid-friendly” for helping out. Then we rolled back home near dark, unloaded everything, and jumped right into feeding in the twilight—because y’all know it ain’t nothing like doing chores in the dark. We ended the day thankful for good friends, a beautiful back-road ride, and the kind of simple life the Lord uses to weave people together.
