Today was a good one. Andy and Jacob spent the day putting bracing on our new pole barn, making steady progress one board at a time. While they worked, I stayed close to the kitchen, cooking supper from our pantry - canned ribs, October beans, cabbage, and potato cakes, all grown and preserved right here on our place. As the sun started to drop, Andy finished the day feeding the cows, and we all came together for a warm plate of supper at the table. There’s something special about ending a hard day’s work with homegrown food and family time, and we’re thankful to be able to live this way. Thank y’all for being here and sharing these everyday moments with us. We’re grateful for each of you who pull up a chair and spend a little time at our table.
