In this video I head up to my local Lowe’s and pick up the Style Brand (Style Selections) 6-tier metal utility shelf that’s rated at 600 lbs, plus the caster wheels that go with it. I unbox everything, show what’s in the box (leg sections, wire shelves, the plastic locking collars, and the instructions), and then walk through the assembly step-by-step. Since I wanted this rack to roll around my studio, the first thing I do is remove the threaded leveling feet and install the casters before the rack gets too heavy. I show how those angled plastic pieces snap onto the legs (make sure “TOP” is facing the right way), then you slide each shelf down until it locks in. I also space the shelves differently—leaving more room on the bottom for bigger items and putting the top shelves a bit closer together. Once a couple shelves are on, the whole rack gets nice and rigid, and when it locks down it’s on there tight. After it’s built, I roll it around, test it through a doorway, and try the wheel locks (they work, but you may need to click them just right). Overall, it’s a quick, easy build and feels solid for shop or studio storage.
