This is the Asus TUF Gaming monitor non curved 27" VG279QL1A. I got this monitor to be used in my 3D print shop. The speakers are weak but the visuals are great. Easy to setup and works well in the shop. About This Video

In this video I unbox and set up the ASUS TUF Gaming VG279QL1A 27-inch flat monitor for my studio/3D print farm. I grabbed it during the Black Friday sale (around 20–30% off) because I’ve been stuck using a tiny 15-inch screen in the shop, and I wanted something bigger and easier to work on for design and slicing. I show everything that comes in the box—warranty/info, DisplayPort cable, HDMI cable, and the power brick—then walk through how the stand and base go together with that simple D-ring screw. After that, I go over the ports (power, DisplayPort, two HDMI, and the headphone jack), the cable management clip, and the on-screen controls with the little joystick and side buttons. The stand has a nice range of height travel and tilt, and I end up keeping mine down low. Once it’s powered up and connected to my mini PC over HDMI, I test the menu options like brightness and color temperature, then play one of my YouTube videos to check sound and picture. My take: the visuals are great for what I’m doing in the shop, but the built-in speakers sound like you’re in a tin can—so plan on external speakers if audio matters.
