About This Video

In this video I’m taking a look at the Klein Tools Digital Angle Gauge, and why I bought it specifically for my table saw. In the package you get the gauge, a protective pouch, an instruction manual, and the two AAA batteries you’ll need to run it. The base is magnetized, so it snaps right onto the saw blade, which makes setup quick when you’re trying to dial in a cut. I walk through the basic operation: power on, zeroing it out, and what the “error” message means (it’s simply out of range). Once you set a new zero, you can tilt and watch the degree readout change, or hit the hold button to lock the last measured angle. On my table saw, I zero it on the blade and then adjust up to 15° and 45° to see how close I can get—mine read 15° dead on and 44.9/45° at full tilt, which tells me the saw is pretty well calibrated. It’s a simple tool, but it’s very practical. It auto shuts off after about 10 minutes, and the pouch keeps it protected in a tool belt or on the bench. If you want more accurate cuts and quick angle checks on a table saw, this is an easy add-on.
