This is the Spyder 6.25" hole saw with 1/2" Arbor. This hole saw drills a hole in 1/2" plywood very quickly. The arbor has a quick release button that makes ejecting material quick and easy. About This Video

In this video I’m installing some can lights, so I ran to Lowe’s and picked up the Spyder 6-1/4" hole saw (159mm) plus the matching 1/2" quick-change arbor. Hole saws are terribly expensive, but for can light installs it’s basically the only way to get a consistent, clean 6-inch hole without fighting it the whole time. I unbox both pieces, show the specs on the packaging (materials it claims to cut and the suggested RPM ranges), and then I put it straight to work on my first hole. The big takeaway: this thing is fast through 1/2" plywood, but it’s absolutely a two-handed tool. The torque will try to twist your wrist around, so you need to brace yourself and be careful. I also demo the single-button “core eject” feature on the arbor—when the plug is stuck, you hit the button and it pops the material out, which is a lot better than a lot of other hole saws I’ve used. If something really jams, Spyder also gives you extra holes in the saw body so you can tap it out.
