About This Video

In this install, I’m setting up an AdaLov wireless bridge kit to get internet from my house out to my workshop—about 150 feet away—without having to trench or run a long ethernet cable. These bridges are directional and rated for up to about 3 miles, so for my distance it’s a super practical way to extend a network when you’ve got line of sight and you can aim the units at each other. I walk through the unboxing, the mounting options (wall mount or pole mount with the included brackets and hose clamps), and the basic wiring with the included PoE power adapters. The key setup points are simple: the unit closest to the internet is the “A” side, the far-end unit is “B,” and you match channels using the little black button (I used channel 5). Once both units were powered and aimed, I checked the signal bars, went inside the shop, connected my router, and verified I had working internet. If you need remote Wi‑Fi for a studio, shop, cameras, or even sharing internet across buildings, this setup gets the job done quick and easy.
