About This Video

Good evening, fine people of the internet—and happy Thanksgiving. In this Workbench Wednesday (Thanksgiving edition), I keep it a little shorter because I had a procedure done the day before and I’m still in slo-mo, hurting in places I never hurt before. But I still wanted to jump on, say thanks to everybody who follows, subscribes, and supports the channel, and show you where I’m at on my current Rail-Scale-Models kit project (Sartore & Sons). I also recap some of the painting and weathering work from the last stream—working the stone/brick surfaces, window sills, and little detail parts, and talking through paint choices like rod iron, zinc, rust tones, and why some of these paints come out “like mud” even when they’re brand new. I also run through a big list of upcoming train shows and open houses, mostly Florida-focused—Golden Spike, Jacksonville at the Prime Osborne Center, Palm Beach Gardens, Port St. Lucie, Regal Railways’ circuit, and more. I talk about what shows I’m actually planning to hit, what’s too far, and why some trips turn into overnighters. If you’re looking for show links, I keep them in the description, and if you want to chat where you can speak freely, I’m on Rumble Monday/Wednesday/Friday (and Wednesdays I’m on both).
